Leading North West agency, Forever Creative have launched a new brand identity and website for Lets Adopt. The launch sees the development for the first time of a consumer friendly brand for Blackburn with Darwen Council’s Adoption Service. The launch is just the start of a major campaign to dispel the myths surrounding adoption and encourage interested couples and individuals to get in touch with the Council. Advertising will feature on local radio, outdoor sites and online publications around the region.
Blackburn with Darwen Council currently have 34 children awaiting adoption with a large proportion under the age of 2. And they are not alone – nearly 6000 children in England are awaiting adoption at any one time. Research carried out by Blackburn with Darwen Council has shown that many people still have misconceptions about adoption. They worry that the process will be arduous, they won’t get any support and that adoption is reserved for young married couples. Lets Adopt are keen to point out that this couldn’t be further from the truth – in fact most people probably can adopt and they will get support every step of the way.
Forever Creative were selected by Blackburn with Darwen Council following a formal tender in August 2013. They have considerable experience in this sector having worked with several councils to deliver campaigns to recruit foster carers and creating the branding, website and advertising for www.Four4Adoption.co.uk.
